COVID – 19 Update 20-May-2020

The NL Antique and Classic Car Club is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our members, quests and the general public.  When first discussing the Coronavirus at our March meeting little did, we know the scope of the pandemic about to envelop us.

Since that time, we have monitored the situation and all guidance coming from the government of NL.   At this time NL has moved to alert level 4 but gatherings are still limited to 10 people with physical distancing.

As a result, the executive and the club members who attended our monthly meeting on Zoom have voted with a show of hands to continue to cancel all in person events and gatherings under the umbrella of the NL Antique and classic car club of NL.

Business meetings, social gatherings, driving cruises, club shows and attending other shows under the club banner are cancelled pending clearance from the government of NL public health.  Social interaction is still key and the club will continue to meet monthly with our Zoom meetings.

Again we must say safety of our members, our guest and the general public is always our highest priority.  We are proud of the work our health care system is doing treating, containing and neutralizing this pandemic.  Following their advice as they learn about this disease is our quickest way through this.

This is the club’s 40th year and excitement had been building about a great summer season.  We will get together in person when it is safe.

Cheers and please stay safe

The Newfoundland Antique & Classic Car Club (NACCC) is an organization formed in 1980 to aid and encourage the use, enjoyment, preservation and restoration of antique and classic vehicles. As a non-profit family oriented organization, we are proud to support local charities including the Easter Seals and Compass Shriners; two great organizations that support sick and disabled children. Each year we host our Annual Car Show as well as other shows at Seniors Homes throughout the summer,  along with A & W Cruise Nights and Sunday Cruises and Barbeques featuring our Annual Berg’s Ice Cream Run with Easter Seals children. NACCC activities include summer and winter socials featuring barbeques, dinners and dances in addition to our Annual Christmas Dinner and Dance and Children’s Christmas Parties. In addition to all that we have regular monthly meetings the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
